become a Smokeworks legend!
we’re always on the look out for rockstars to either help smoke our ribs and dish up plates of BBQ in our kitchens, or pour the beers and shake the odd cocktail or two. so if you’re a student on a gap year looking to earn some money before you hit up uni, or looking to change careers and get out from behind that desk, or you’re a manager looking for a change of scene, then get in touch and join our BB’CREW and help the people of CAMBRIDGE get the party started when they visit SMOKEWORKS!
CURRENTLY HIRING: pitmasters & kitchen shift runners, bun chefs, kitchen porters, floor crew, bar crew & assistant managers
JOIN THE CREW AND GROW
we offer full training for all our roles, and whatever skills you already have, we’ll aim to teach you something new. we also love it when we learn something from any of our new employees. so be prepared to bring your ideas and don’t be afraid to make suggestions
LEAD BY EXAMPLE
great managers build great teams, so we make sure our managers are equipped to build, upskill and nurture their teams. our managers also operate an open door policy, so if you’re experiencing issues inside or outside of work, looking for a new challenge, or just fancy having a chat then we’re here to help!
SUPPORT & FEEDBACK
our teams work hard and we make sure they get rewarded for that in their pay packets, alongside perks and our overall company culture. we always want to improve as well, so every 3-6 months, all employees get a check-up chat, so that we can evaluate performance, offer a fair mixture of praise and improvement to be made and find out how we’re doing as employers
DON’T BE A DICK
we wish it didn’t have to be said, but we’re going to say it anyway… whatever your race, gender, religious beliefs, family situation, sex life, looks, outside interests, or any other characteristics you can think of, it really doesn’t make a difference to us. we have a strict no tolerance policy for any cases of discrimination or harassment from anyone. this includes team members and customers. our workplace should always be a safe environment, and if someone can’t support us with that, then they won’t hang around long
